Terms of service

Effective October 6, 2026. These terms describe the personal Google Nest integration operated by Eric Peterson for the McKenna Manor household.

Household use

The integration is intended only for authorized household users and devices. It is not offered as a commercial service. Users must have permission to access and control each connected device.

Authorization and control

Google account holders choose which devices the integration can access. Users can revoke access through Google or remove the integration from Home Assistant. Use remains subject to applicable Google and Home Assistant terms.

Availability

The integration is provided as available, without a guarantee of continuous operation or accuracy. Connectivity, authentication, software updates, or changes to third-party services can interrupt it. Household users should retain access to physical thermostat controls and the official Nest or Google Home app.

Responsible operation

Users are responsible for thermostat settings and automations they configure. The integration should not be relied upon as the sole means of maintaining safety-critical environmental conditions.

Changes

The operator may update or discontinue the personal integration. Revised terms will be posted here with an updated effective date.
